Installation method of fire sleeve for wire in State Grid substation

/ / blog

State Grid substation fire sleeve for wire is a device used to protect cables from being burned in case of fire. It is usually made of fireproof materials, such as aluminum silicate fiber, glass fiber, etc., with good fireproof performance and high temperature resistance. In substations and other places, cables are important energy transmission lines. Once a fire occurs, the burning of cables will not only cause property losses, but may also cause more serious accidents. Therefore, the installation of cable fire casing can effectively protect cables and reduce the occurrence of fire accidents.

The installation method of the fireproof casing of the cable in the State Grid substation is as follows:

1. Clean up the installation location to ensure that the surface is clean, flat, and free of sundries, oil, etc.

2. According to the size and length requirements of the cable sleeve, cut the sleeve to an appropriate length.

3. Put the sleeve over the cable, making sure that the sleeve fits snugly on the cable.

4. Install stainless steel clamps at both ends of the casing to fix the casing.

5. Install fireproof tape on both ends of the casing to ensure that the two ends of the casing are closely attached to the cable ends.

6. Install fireproof covers at both ends of the casing to ensure that both ends of the casing are completely closed to the cable end.

7. For cables passing through walls or partitions, fireproof sleeves should be installed at the holes through the walls, and fireproof covers should be installed on both sides of the holes.

It should be noted that during the installation process, the operation should be strictly in accordance with the relevant specifications and requirements to ensure the quality and safety of the installation.
